The accused man Ashish Mishra in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence incident gets bail from Allahabad High Court. Also, senior counsel GD Chaturvedi had argued that Mishra was not driving the car which ran over the farmers on October 3 2021.
It was stated that in the postmortem report that there was no injuries on victims and Mishra was not driving, from which protesters were allegedly moved down.
After bail plea being rejected by the lower court, Mishra moved to Allahabad High Court and Justice Rajiv Singh's bench heard his plea and reserved it for further announcement.
It was registered against Mishra for an incident, when farmers were protesting against the visit of UP's deputy CM Keshav Prasad Mourya to Lakhimpur Kheri district, and four protesting farmers were moved down by an SUV and got killed.
