The Bar Council of India notified the Supreme Court on Tuesday that the syllabus for the next All India Bar Examination would be released in 15 days and that the exam would take place three months later.
Judges Sanjay Kishan Kaul, S. Ravindra Bhat, and M.M. Sundresh were sitting on a bench to hear the Bar Council of India's appeal of the Gujarat High Court's decision allowing those with other employment—whether full- or part-time—to join as advocates without quitting their jobs. The Court has periodically issued directions in the aforementioned processes to improve the standard of legal education in India, solve issues with the bar examination, and investigate the possibility of chamber placement for young attorneys.
