About the Internship:

The Chambers of JP is seeking a dedicated Legal Intern to join their team on a full-time basis. This opportunity is ideal for a law student eager to gain hands-on experience in the legal field. The internship will involve physical presence, primarily targeting candidates residing in or around Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, and nearby areas. The selected intern will gain practical exposure to court procedures, legal research, drafting, and more.


Eligibility:

- Current student enrolled in the 4th or 5th year of a 5-year LL.B. program or the 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. program.

- Familiarity with MS Word, online legal search tools, and basic computer functionalities.

- Ability to conduct thorough legal research.

- Proficient in English communication and writing.

- Basic understanding of Marathi for reading case files and basic communication.

- Candidates with prior publications or litigation internship experience will be given preference.


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and assist in drafting legal documents.

- Observe court proceedings and prepare detailed notes.

- Assist in the filing of legal documents and manage case files.

- Contribute to legal publications on various topics.

- Collaborate with advocates on active cases, providing necessary support.

- Learn and perform various court procedures.


Duration:

The internship is expected to last 3 to 4 months, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement.
