About the Internship/Job:

The Legal Content Moderator internship at Girma Pro Consulting is designed for individuals who are passionate about law, technology, and digital content management. This role involves reviewing and moderating user-generated content across various platforms to ensure it complies with legal standards and community guidelines. The internship offers a unique opportunity to apply legal knowledge in a digital context, helping maintain a safe and respectful online environment.

Eligibility:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in content moderation, legal compliance, or a related field is preferred but not required for internship candidates.

  • Strong understanding of legal principles related to copyright, trademark, privacy, defamation, and other relevant areas.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review and moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with legal standards, community guidelines, and platform policies.

  • Identify content that violates laws, regulations, or intellectual property rights and take appropriate action.

  • Assess the context and intent of content, evaluating its suitability for the platform.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage legal risks and develop content moderation strategies.

  • Respond to user inquiries and reports related to content moderation.

  • Maintain accurate records of moderation actions and decisions.

  • Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and industry standards.

  • Assist in the development of content moderation tools and processes.

Duration:

The internship duration will be 6 months, with a possibility of conversion to a full-time role based on performance.
