About Internship
Three (3) Legal Volunteer (Internship) Roles at JCTR The Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection (JCTR) is looking for three (3) Legal Volunteers to take up internship roles at JCTR. This is an opportunity to acquire practical legal skills and training in our Faith and Justice Department. The JCTR is a research, education and advocacy team that promotes study and action on issues linking Christian Faith and social justice in Zambia. JCTR's vision is to have a society where faith promotes justice for all in all spheres of life, especially for the poor.

Job Description
Conduct research, analysis and draft documents;
Assist JCTR with providing input on requests for legislation and policy reviews from various government ministries and the National Assembly;
Prepare submissions for Parliamentary Committees at the National Assembly; Prepare legal opinions for JCTR on matters of public interest;
Represent JCTR in meetings with stakeholders including CSOs, NGOs, Government and
International Organisations; and Perform administrative tasks and execute incidental instructions necessary to fulfil the demands of the role as instructed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be a senior law student, recent graduate with a Bachelor of Laws Degree or postgraduate qualification, looking to acquire practice legal skills, experience and exposure.
