About Maadhyam:

Maadhyam is a civic engagement initiative dedicated to fostering informed citizenry and promoting active participation in parliamentary affairs. Our mission is to bridge the gap between citizens and the legislative process by providing accessible information and encouraging meaningful discourse.

About the Internship/Job:

They are currently seeking two dynamic and dedicated individuals to join us as Research and Social Media Interns for the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament. This virtual internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to civic engagement, gain insights into parliamentary proceedings, and actively participate in shaping public discourse.

Eligibility:

• Full-time availability from 4th to 22nd December 2023 (or until the Winter Session concludes).

• Keen interest in parliamentary functioning, policy-making, and politics.

• Strong research aptitude, comfortable navigating through various documents and reports.

• Proficiency in content creation software (Canva, Photoshop, or equivalent).

• Familiarity with various social media platforms.

• Commitment to upholding constitutional values, honesty, ethics, punctuality, and diligence.

• Prior experience in Parliament, policy research, or with MPs is desirable but not mandatory.

• Open to applicants from any educational background.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Follow parliamentary proceedings daily and stay updated on issues, questions, and Bills.

• Conduct in-depth research on relevant topics to contribute valuable insights.

• Create engaging content for social media platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) such as posters, memes, videos, and gifs.

• Facilitate critical citizen engagement by sharing informative content.

• Collaborate with the Maadhyam team to strategize and execute impactful communication.

Duration:

4th - 22nd December 2023 or until the Winter Session concludes, whichever is earlier.
