About The Job:
As a Placement Officer at The School of Law, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our talented law students and their potential employers. This role involves a proactive approach to identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with a broad spectrum of legal organizations, including firms, corporations, and governmental agencies, to secure internship and employment opportunities for our students and alumni.
Eligibility:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a focus on the legal profession.
Prior experience in human resources management within the legal sector will be advantageous.
Candidates with experience in managing student placements in a law school environment will be given preference.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Source, interview, and onboard potential candidates for legal positions, ensuring a match between student capabilities and employer requirements.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of students, alumni, and legal employment opportunities.
Establish and nurture relationships with law firms, corporations, and public sector organizations to secure internship and employment opportunities for students.
Conduct orientation sessions for new students and provide career counseling and guidance.
Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in the legal job market to inform students and adapt strategies accordingly.
Coordinate with faculty and administration to enhance the employability of students through targeted training and workshops.
Duration:
This is a full-time position.
