About the Office:


The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge at the Supreme Court of India, offers unparalleled exposure to the judicial process and legal research. Interns will have the unique opportunity to engage with high-profile cases, understand judicial reasoning, and gain practical insights into the workings of the highest court in the country.


About the Internship:


The internship is a full-time, physical position available on a rolling basis from September 2024 to May 2025. Designed for law students and recent graduates, this internship provides an immersive learning experience in the judicial environment. Interns will work closely with legal professionals, gain hands-on experience in legal research and drafting, and attend court proceedings.


Eligibility:


- Undergraduate law students (2nd year or above in a 3-year program, 3rd year or above in a 5-year program)

- Postgraduate law students


Roles and Responsibilities:


- Prepare briefs summarizing case facts, legal arguments, and relevant case law.

- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft memos and opinions.

- Attend court proceedings and meetings, taking detailed minutes.

- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.


Duration:


The internship lasts for one month, starting on the 1st working day of each month, and is extendable based on performance and availability.

All applicants will be informed of their internship status.


Salary/Stipend:


Details regarding the stipend will be discussed with the selected candidates during the interview process.


Location:


The internship is based at the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi. Interns are required to be physically present and participate in all scheduled activities and tasks.
