About the Company:

The University of Bologna Law Review is a student-run, open access and double blind peer-review law journal published by the University of Bologna, Department of Legal Studies, and officially sponsored by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP and the International Chamber of Commerce – Italy.

About the Internship/Job:

As an Associate Editor at UBLR, you will play a crucial role in the editorial process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of published content. This internship/job offers a unique opportunity to engage with legal research, hone your editorial skills, and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled student at the University of Bologna

  • Very good knowledge of the English language

  • Familiarity with UBLR and the editorial process

  • At least one previous team-working experience

  • Interest in working in an international environment

  • Strong motivation and dedication to contribute to the field of law.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proofreading and editing articles for grammar, style, and content (4 positions)

  • Copyediting to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency in written submissions (10 positions)

  • Quality control of the publication process (2 positions)

  • Managing sources and translations for accurate citation and understanding (2 positions)

  • Handling media and communications related to the journal (2 positions)

  • Graphic layout and design responsibilities (1 position)

  • Organizing and coordinating events related to the UBLR (2 positions)

  • Promoting UBLR through various channels (2 positions)

  • Managing human resources and team dynamics (2 positions)

Duration:

The internship/job duration is for a specified term, starting upon selection and ending at the culmination of the academic year.
