Internship Opportunity for "Project Vaidehi" – Women Empowerment Initiative by PEFI, East Singhbhum, Jharkhand

About the Organization:

The Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI), East Singhbhum, Jharkhand - Jamshedpur Zone, is dedicated to promoting physical fitness, legal rights, and self-defense education across India. Through its national project "Vaidehi," PEFI focuses on empowering women by enhancing their self-defense skills and increasing legal awareness, fostering a positive social impact nationwide. Project Vaidehi is endorsed by notable organizations such as PEFI East Singhbhum, NKF Jharkhand, and USKAI India.


About the Internship:

Project Vaidehi, launched on September 29, 2024, at an international event in Mumbai, offers a unique two-month internship for students passionate about women’s empowerment. This internship provides an opportunity to work on a significant national project while developing valuable skills in self-defense training, legal rights awareness, and community outreach.


Eligibility:

The internship is open to students from various educational backgrounds (specific eligibility criteria can be found in the application form). Applicants should be enthusiastic about social change and women’s empowerment.


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Participate actively in the promotion of self-defense training and legal rights education for women

- Contribute to outreach activities to spread awareness of Project Vaidehi’s goals

- Assist in the organization and planning of online and hybrid training sessions

- Support project coordinators in compiling reports and feedback on program effectiveness

- Work collaboratively to enhance the project's impact and reach


Duration:

2 months


Location:

Jamshedpur, with online/hybrid work options available
