Intra Dept Moot Court Competition and Constitution Day celebration held at AMU Malappuram Centre

The Moot Society, Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University Malappuram centre organised an Intra-departmental Moot Competition from 24th – 26th November, 2022. The valedictory function was held on the occasion of Constitution Day i.e on 26th November, 2022. The programme commenced with Quran recitation by Mohd. Mosharraf Ahmad as a cognate to the culture of Aligarh Muslim University. The programme was furthered by the welcome address by Dr. Absar Aftab Absar, teacher in-charge.

Dr. Faisal KP Director, AMUMC threw the light on importance of Constitution Day and inaugurated the event and appreciated the department of law for its continuous training and developments programme for the Law students.

Dr. Shahnawaz Ahmed Malik, Coordinator and Assistant Professor of Department of Law, AMUMC gave the felicitation speech and discussed Fundamental Duties and citizens responsibility to establish a society based on mutual respect and communal harmony.

Shri Ananda Krishna S, Judicial Magistrate, Court Complex, Perinthalmanna, Kerala was the chief guest of the event. Discussing the significance of celebrating Constitution Day, he delivered his speech on the importance of Fundamental Duties in current scenario. He inaugurated the Legal Aid Clinic of the Department and released the annual magazine of the law Society ‘The Law Reporter 2021-22’.

Dr. Shally Victor, teacher in-charge presented report of Moot Court Competition. The moot court was supported by Legal Soch Foundation, in which total 27 teams registered for the competition. The final round was Judged by Adv. Shamsuddin, VP Bar Association , Perinthalmanna and Adv. Abdus Salam T.

The winner of the intra-Departmental Moot Court competition, 2022 was the team of Abdul Haseeb N, Nihal Mohammad and Fahami Sulamain whereas the team of Muskan Khan, Aina Islam and Mantasha Khan was the runners up.

Aliya Arif recited the Fundamental Duties. Mohd Azam Khan and Iqra Shamim conducted the programme.

At the end of the programme Sahim Khan gave vote of thanks.

Mr. Ghalib Nashter, Dr. Naseema PK, Dr. Shaista Nasreen, Dr. Aamir Yousuf Waghey, Adv Neema Noor judged the competitions. Syed Ibrahim Quli, Ujjwal Rai, Divyanshu, Saood Sami, Shamim Akhter, Taukir Ashraf and Sidra organised the event.
