About the Job:
IndiaMart is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fintech and Lending Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves providing legal support for digital payments, lending platforms, LSP and Digital Lending Guidelines, regulatory compliance, and commercial contracts. Eligibility:
Education: LLB degree from an accredited law school.
Experience: 2-3 years of legal experience in fintech, lending, or financial services law.
Skills Required:
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.
Problem-solving attitude with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Provide legal counsel on local, national, and international financial regulations, including digital lending and data protection laws.
Transaction Support: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including TSP and LSP contracts, credit facilities, partnership agreements, and investment deals.
Licensing and Registration: Advise on regulatory licensing requirements for financial services, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained and maintained.
Product Development: Provide legal guidance for launching new fintech and lending products, including drafting terms of service, privacy policies, and user agreements.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks related to fintech lending models.
Legal Research & Opinions: Stay updated on the latest legal trends, legislation, and judicial rulings impacting the fintech and lending sectors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business, compliance, and product teams, as well as external regulators and industry stakeholders.
Duration:
Full-time position with a contractual/retainer-based role.
