About the Job:
AKG Counsel is seeking to hire an Associate to join their team. The role involves attending hearings at court, managing case files, summarizing documents, and conducting investigations. The associate will be primarily based at the office in Nariman Point, Mumbai, with occasional travel to court required.
Eligibility:
The ideal candidate will be either a fresh LLB graduate or an LLB student with a minimum of two years of corporate work experience in any field. Fluency in Marathi and a full understanding of English are essential. Candidates must be Mumbai-based and available for full-time, on-site work, except when attending court hearings.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Attend court hearings, take notes, and retrieve case files and orders.
Organize and collate extensive case files for efficient reference.
Summarize legal documents and conduct investigations using publicly available resources.
Communicate effectively with court clerks and associates to obtain necessary information.
Demonstrate persistence in obtaining information and remain focused when dealing with large documents.
Utilize internet search and database tools effectively.
Preferably possess some experience in reading and understanding financial statements.
Duration:
The position is full-time and ongoing.
