About the Internship/Job:

Aretha Legal is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Corporate team as an Associate. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for the field of PE/VC and M&A transactions and are looking to further their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Eligibility:

• Must be a Law graduate/postgraduate from a reputable law school.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in PE/VC, M&A transactions, or related fields is mandatory.

• Proficient understanding of the Companies Act and contract law.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with other reporting tools.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• A Company Secretary qualification is considered a bonus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough due diligences for various transactions.

• Draft transaction documents including but not limited to Share Subscription Agreements (SSA), Share Purchase Agreements (SPA), Shareholders Agreements (SHA), etc.

• Assist with post-closing actions and ensure all transactional documentation is compliant with the applicable laws and regulations.

• Work closely with the corporate team specializing in PE/VC and M&A transactions, providing legal advice and support.

• Coordinate and communicate with clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored legal solutions.

• Stay abreast of legal developments in the field of corporate law, especially related to PE/VC and M&A transactions.

Duration:

This is a full-time position. The selected candidate will be expected to join the team as per the mutually agreed date and continue as per the terms of employment.
