About the Company:
Advocate Manisha Singh (formerly called Arun Singh & Associates) is a woman-owned Pan India law firm network that is primarily based in Gurgaon District Court. We nurture young talent and train them to become court-ready (independent practitioners) while they train and work for us.
About the Internship/Job:
They are offering a full-time internship position for law/legal associates, with a potential job offer after the successful completion of the internship period. The selected candidates will be responsible for compiling a list of matters listed in the coming week, marking presence in listed matters, maintaining and updating the daily diary (legal referencer), working on live cases, preparing case synopses, and organizing files in the file-keeping system. Additionally, interns will gain practical exposure to court proceedings, learn how to prepare and generate legal documents such as summons and warrants, and have the opportunity to attend session courts to understand the nuances of argument, pleading, and defense.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have proficiency in spoken and written English.
Proficiency in MS-Excel, MS-Office, and MS-Word is required.
Applicants should be available for a full-time (in-office) internship.
The internship duration is 6 months, with a mandatory lock-in period of 6 months after a 2-month probation period.
Women wanting to start or restart their career are encouraged to apply.
Candidates must be from or open to relocating to Gurgaon and neighboring cities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Compile a list of matters listed in the coming week.
Mark presence in listed matters.
Maintain and update the daily diary (legal referencer).
Work on live cases and prepare case synopses.
Maintain files by updating/sorting files in the file-keeping system.
Learn and actively participate in court proceedings.
Prepare and generate legal documents such as summons, warrants, etc.
Attend session courts, learn the art of argument, pleading, defending, etc.
Duration:
6 months (with a mandatory lock-in period of 6 months after a 2-month probation period)
