Internship Overview:
They are excited to offer a summer internship program designed for 1L or 2L law students who are passionate about immigration law and eager to make a positive impact on the lives of immigrants. This program is an excellent opportunity for fully bilingual (Spanish and English) law students to gain hands-on experience in family-based immigration law, work directly with clients, and witness the intricacies of immigration court proceedings.
Eligibility:
Must be currently enrolled in law school as a 1L or 2L.
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated passion for immigration law and commitment to serving the immigrant community.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Directly interact with clients to conduct interviews and assist in preparing immigration petitions and applications.
Observe and participate in immigration court proceedings, gaining firsthand insight into legal processes.
Conduct legal research and contribute to case strategies by researching discrete legal issues and preparing legal documents.
Collaborate closely with our experienced attorney and support staff, contributing to a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Duration:
This is a summer internship program, with specific start and end dates to be determined based on the academic calendar and candidate availability.
