Project Implementer at MARG

Job Overview:
MARG is seeking a dedicated Project Implementer to join our team on a consultancy basis. This role involves providing legal assistance and training to volunteers in the Khadda Block of Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, and the Chanpatia Block of West Champaran, Bihar. The selected candidate will work under the direct supervision of MARG’s Executive Director/Project Coordinator based in Delhi and will require comfortable outstation travel for various project activities.
Location: Delhi, Kushinagar (Uttar Pradesh), West Champaran (Bihar)
Eligibility Criteria:
A Degree in Law from a recognized university.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in law practice.
Proficient in research, documentation, and report writing.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Hindi.
Previous experience in conducting legal training is desirable.
Willingness to travel extensively across India for fieldwork.
A strong commitment to human rights and gender equality.
Effective time management skills, ability to work under tight deadlines, and adaptability to complex and diverse working environments.
Proficiency in computer applications, data analysis, Word Processing, and PowerPoint Presentations.
The candidate must possess a laptop for work purposes, including reporting.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide legal assistance and training to volunteers in specified blocks.
Coordinate with the Executive Director/Project Coordinator for the planning and execution of project activities.
Conduct legal awareness programs and workshops.
Engage in research and documentation relevant to the project’s objectives.
Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress.
Travel to project locations for implementation and monitoring of activities.
Duration:
The position is contractual, from March 2024 to November 2024.
Salary/Stipend:
The selected candidate will be compensated with a monthly remuneration of Rs. 30,000/-, subject to TDS as per statute.
