WizPro is a corporate consulting firm specializing in providing services to international fintech merchants.
WizPro are looking to hire a legal advisor who could support our growing consulting business. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years post-graduate experience, including experience in commercial and corporate law, international corporate business, good understanding of the Fintech and online payments spheres, exposure to a variety of commercial agreements and contracts that involve various jurisdictions, good written and verbal communication skills, time management skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment. Previous experience in corporate consultancy and/or tax advisory offices would be considered an advantage.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide ongoing legal support to the team;
Draft, improve and review partnership/vendor/software agreements, merchant/referral/reseller agreements and other kinds of commercial documentation;
Consulting and handling all corporate legal processes; - Provide ongoing support to the company's corporate consultancy function which involves liaising with the commercial registration, as well as immigration authorities in various jurisdictions, registration of legal entities, clients' visa and immigration support and other relevant tasks;
Provide legal support in connection with the company's multi-jurisdictional framework, conduct legal research and proactively identify legal risks; - Review any new applicable laws and regulations and operations; advise how these are affecting the company's - Advise on the labor law and relevant employment matters;
Participate in special projects (i.e. licensing or jurisdiction research, AML matters, etc.) when required.
Skills and qualifications:
University degree in Law;
Background in corporate law;
Sound knowledge and understanding of commercial/ technology contracts, e-commerce/payments agreements and data privacy;
Between 2-3 years experience in a similar position; - Hands-on experience in cross-border business and commercial documentation involving multiple jurisdictions;
Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision;
Problem-solving skills, flexibility and adaptability;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Excellent negotiation skills;
Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and spoken);
Proficiency in the modern business communication and information exchange software;
Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
