Job Description: Trademark Associate
About the Job:
They are seeking a dynamic and skilled Trademark Associate to join our team in Chennai. As a Trademark Associate, you will play a crucial role in legal proceedings, case management, and client representation. Your responsibilities will include drafting legal documents, conducting research, managing cases, and interacting with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse intellectual property matters and contribute to the firm's success.
Eligibility:
LL.B or LL.M degree (preferred)
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in intellectual property law
Strong knowledge and experience in trademark, copyright, and design prosecution and litigation
Ability to draft and vet various IP-related agreements
Proficiency in conducting legal research and analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare legal notices, suits, and other pleadings related to intellectual property matters.
Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Assist in case management and trial preparation, ensuring all necessary documents and evidence are prepared.
Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings, advocating for their intellectual property rights.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court, maintaining professional relationships.
Draft and vet agreements such as Franchise, License, Assignment, Technology Transfer, and other IP-related documents.
Draft and prosecute Copyright, Design, and Trademark applications.
Conduct Freedom to Operate Searches to assess the risks associated with intellectual property activities.
