Job Description for Associate, Legal Support (Product & Distribution)

About the Company:

A leading multinational corporation (MNC) in Mumbai is seeking an Associate for Legal Support in the area of Product and Distribution. The company is renowned for its global presence and provides a dynamic work environment that fosters professional growth and exposure to international legal practices.


About the Job:

They are looking for a dedicated and experienced Associate, Legal Support to assist our corporate legal team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal writing and editing, and experience in dealing with U.S. laws and stakeholders.


Eligibility:

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in a legal setting.

  • Proven experience in legal writing and editing.

  • Global exposure, specifically experience working on U.S. laws.

  • Experience in working with U.S. stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with deadline-based projects, including 50 state surveys.

  • Ability to handle a 60-day notice period.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting corporate legal attorneys and senior paralegals in resolving routine legal issues.

  • Conducting legal research and analyzing statutes, regulations, case filings, etc., under attorney supervision.

  • Preparing and filing federal and/or state regulatory filings accurately and timely.

  • Reviewing and editing legal documents for accuracy and completeness.

  • Processing and summarizing complex legal proceedings for attorneys.

  • Monitoring and analyzing legislative/regulatory developments affecting the company's products and services.

  • Collaborating with business partners, outside counsel, and other vendors for information management and project handling.

  • Reviewing corporate documents for regulatory compliance.

Duration:

This is a full-time position with a shift timing of 12.30 PM to 9.30 PM.
