Judge Claims High Court Suspension for Handling POCSO Cases Quickly; Approaches Supreme Court

A Bihar Additional District Judge has filed a petition with the Supreme Court to overturn the Patna High Court's suspension order and any associated disciplinary actions.

On Wednesday, senior attorney Vikas Singh referred to the appeals court's panel, which included Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and Justices Krishna Murari and Hima Kohli.

Singh had pleaded with the court not to dismiss the case, which is scheduled to be heard by the panel of Justices UU Lalit and SR Bhat on Friday, "ADJ has been suspended since he had done trial in a day in POSCO case where the accused had raped 6 year girl. 5 months have passed. Request not to delete it."
