A Kolkata court has handed down a life imprisonment sentence to Sanjoy Roy, convicted in the horrifying rape and murder case at RG Kar Medical College. The verdict, delivered on Monday, brings closure to a case that shocked the city and raised significant concerns about safety on hospital premises.
The incident occurred in 2022 when a young woman was found brutally assaulted and murdered within the RG Kar Medical College campus.
