About the internship/job:

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Legal Intern - Banking (Litigation) at Nivaaran Law LLP. The intern will play a crucial role in the Banking & Finance Team, handling tasks related to banking litigation. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting motions, assisting with depositions, and representing clients in courts.

Eligibility:

5th year (5 yrs course) & 2nd year and onwards (3 years course) law students
Strong knowledge of Indian law and banking regulations
Experience in handling banking litigation
Proficiency in legal research and drafting motions under relevant acts
Familiarity with DRT & DART procedures and court proceedings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team
Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department is a plus

Roles and responsibilities:

Conduct legal research on banking litigation matters
Draft motions under relevant acts such as the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act & The Recovery Of Debts Due To Banks And Financial Institutions Act, 1993
Assist with depositions and court proceedings
Represent clients in courts under the guidance of senior attorneys
Collaborate with team members on case strategies and client representation
