In the second quarter of the national Lok Adalats held in May and June across all states and UTs, over 95 lakh cases were resolved.

An unprecedented total of more than 20 lakh cases were resolved at the 2nd National Lok Adalat of 2022, which was held on June 25 and June 26 in nine states. The National Legal Services Authority oversaw the National Lok Adalat, which was held in seven states and two union territories, including Maharashtra, Kerala, Goa, Andaman & Nicobar, Gujarat, Karnataka, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. The Executive Chairman of NALSA was Mr. Justice U.U. Lalit, a Supreme Court justice.

20, 96,854 cases in total, including 6, 70,103 cases in the pre-litigation stage and 14, 26,751 outstanding cases, were resolved. The sum of ₹ 3534.59 Crores that was decided upon in the aforementioned Lok Adalat is significant.

The final 24 states and 6 UTs held National Lok Adalat on May 14.

The total number of cases in this second quarter of Lok Adalat, held in May and June 2022 in all States and Union Territories, is 95,75,743, including 28,71,919 lacs of pending cases and 67,03,824 lacs of cases in the pre-litigation stage. The settlement sum is worth a total of ₹ 9413.62 crores.
