In the eight-time national badminton champion Syed Modi murder case, the Allahabad High Court upholds a life sentence.

The life sentence given to an accused in connection with the murder of Syed Modi, an eight-time national badminton champion who represented India in a number of international competitions, was affirmed by the Allahabad High Court on Wednesday.
The evidence presented before the court was entered into the record by the bench of Justices Ramesh Sinha and Saroj Yadav, who came to the conclusion that Modi was killed by gunfire fired by the convict/appellant and other accused parties.
