For cases involving the Agnipath Scheme, the Supreme Court refuses to take them on itself and instead sends petitions to the Delhi High Court posing a challenge to the scheme

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court transferred to the Delhi High Court, where related challenges are already pending, the writ petitions filed before it contesting the Agnipath military recruitment programme.
The decision was made in response to three writ petitions submitted in accordance with Article 32 of the Indian Constitution by a bench made up of Justices DY Chandrachud, Surya Kant, and AS Bopanna. Two of the petitions were in the public interest, and the third was a writ petition submitted by a group of people who had been shortlisted for the Indian Air Force's airman selection process. They argued that the recruitment process, which had started in previous years, should be finished regardless of the Agnipath scheme.
