Research Intern/Assistant (Paid)

About the Company:

The opportunity is offered by a legal professional actively engaged in research on a wide range of issues such as commercial litigation, cross-border litigation, arbitration, judicial reforms, and cross-border insolvency. The selected candidates will not only assist with ongoing research but will also receive mentorship on law school, careers, LLM applications, and research opportunities in India and abroad.


About the Internship/Job:

This is a long-term research opportunity for law students interested in commercial law, company law, insolvency law, and private international law. The role will involve supporting personal research projects in these areas and contributing to publications and reports. The initial appointment will be for 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The position comes with a monthly stipend, and selected candidates will have the unique opportunity to receive personal mentorship throughout the duration of the internship.


Eligibility:

- Must be a 4th or 5th-year student enrolled in a 5-year law program or a 3rd-year student in a 3-year LLB program.

- A demonstrated interest in commercial law, company law, insolvency law, private international law, and litigation is required.

- Applicants must have at least 3 high-quality publications on law blogs, peer-reviewed law reviews, or journals.

- Ability to dedicate 10-12 hours per week to research and writing tasks is a must.


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth legal research on commercial litigation, arbitration, cross-border litigation, judicial reforms, and insolvency law.

- Assist in drafting, analyzing, and preparing research papers and reports on the above topics.

- Contribute to the development of research material for publications and presentations.

- Collaborate with the mentor on various research strategies and approaches.

- Attend virtual meetings to discuss progress and insights on assigned topics.


Duration:

- Initial duration of 3 months, extendable based on performance and contribution.
