SUPREME COURT ISSUED NOTICE TO TRANSFER PETITION RELATED TO BIHAR LIQUOR ACT ITSELF

Domination from the supreme court to the government of Bihar on Bihar anti-liquor law. The court said that other similar issues are under consideration before the courts, so it would be better if the petition before the high court is transferred and heard along with the SPL. The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Bihar government to respond within three weeks, to petition to challenge the Constitutional validity of its controversial prohibition and excise Act 2016. The bihar government had fielded a petition challenge, the grant of advance and regular bail to the accused in the matter of prohibition law which was rejected by the supreme court. The Supreme Court Judge N.V. Ramana has said that Liquor prohibition law has suffocated the court, such cases have stopped the work of the High Court, 14-15 judges of Patna High Court are involved in the hearing of similar cases in a day. Ran said that the law put a burden on the court.
