Union Home Minister Amit Shah Confident of BJP Victory in Lok Sabha Elections

Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah affirmed his faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, asserting that the BJP-led NDA will secure a resounding victory in the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking at a mega roadshow in Gujarat's Gandhinagar, Shah slammed the opposition Congress, declaring their chances futile in the face of Prime Minister Modi's leadership.

Highlighting the NDA's track record over the past decade, Shah emphasized their effective use of majority to enact significant reforms, including the abrogation of Article 370, abolition of triple talaq, and implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He attributed the NDA's success to their focus on growth and expressed confidence in winning the elections with a significant majority, citing the unwavering trust of the nation in Prime Minister Modi.

Gandhinagar, a stronghold of the BJP, witnessed a massive display of support during the roadshow, with Shah vowing to secure all 26 seats in Gujarat for the PM. Refuting allegations of EVM manipulation raised by the opposition, Shah criticized their selective accusations, stating that they only question the integrity of the electoral process when faced with defeat.

As Shah filed his nomination from Gandhinagar, he targeted a victory margin exceeding 10 lakh votes, expressing certainty in his triumph. He admonished Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, cautioning against criticism from those unable to retain their own seats.

The Gandhinagar constituency, encompassing seven assembly segments, has historically favored the BJP, with Shah himself securing a significant victory margin in the 2019 elections. Voting for all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat is scheduled to take place in a single phase on May 7, with the BJP poised for a strong performance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
